Prior to forming Mangieri & Ward, LLC, with his partner, John spent his 35 year career working for the Internal Revenue Service. During this time, John conducted examinations on individual, estate, trust, partnership, and corporation tax cases and provided tax advice to various operating divisions. Because of his expertise in tax matters, John was also requested to work on Grand Jury cases with the United States Attorney’s office, the Treasury Inspector General’s Office for Tax Administration and the FBI in investigating white collar crime. John has received numerous awards for his expertise in tax matters throughout his career. His experience as an agent in the compliance audit areas of the IRS makes him a uniquely qualified resource for our clients, offering them an insider’s perspective on examination techniques in addition to fraud and abuse investigations, financial misappropriations, and breach of contract matters. His expertise is built upon his vast experiences in investigative accounting, including consulting with IRS counsel on case strategy, and providing expert reports and testimony in complex tax investigations. In addition, John also has an expertise in taxation accounting for physicians and actors and actresses set up as sole proprietorships or personal service corporations. John graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Montclair State University. He is a member of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association, a Life Member of the American Legion, a Life Member of Alpha Phi Omega, and a Member of the National Corvette Restoration Society. |
